INDUSTRY 4.0 TECHNOLOGY BUILT IN  CANADA

With so many questions about Industry 4.0, the smart factory, and advanced manufacturing  surfacing,
we thought it would be easier to just build a live working lab that shows you exactly what it is.
SEW-Eurodrive / MAXOLUTION is proud to present the LIVE INDUSTRY 4.0 LAB located at the
Barret Centre for Technology Innovation located at Humber College, Ontario, Canada.

The Innovation Live Lab-(Lab One) is Industry 4.0 Ready.

The Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation (CTI). Ontario Canada.

Witness the latest in smart factory automation, system solutions, and advanced manufacturing processes in real time at SEW-Eurodrive’s Live Lab (Lab One).

Located at the The Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation (CTI), Lab ONE is a scaled version of a smart assembly ecosystem that demonstrates how humans, technology and machines collaborate on the production line.

A Sneek Peek of the Smart Factory

The Smart Factory Live Demonstration at The Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation (CTI). Ontario Canada.

Understanding how the smart factory works on paper isn’t so easy. So to help with that, we built a live one!

The live Smart Factory is a scaled version of a smart factory eco system that demonstrates many of the available Industry 4.0 Technology.

The Live industry 4.0 Lab showcases; pick-by-light assembly using Augmented reality, (AR) , Autonomous guided vehicles, (AGVs) and its Contactless charging system (MOVITRANS®) and a Smart Product Quality Control Testing Module.

Industry 4.0 Applications-Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs)

Automated guided vehicles are designed to transport payload safely and efficiently. AGVs can be programmed based on your existing motion paths or adjusted to an entirely new route.

Some of the key benefits of AGVs are its flexibility to scale your process as production ramps up and its ability to operate 24/7 using an inductive charging system as its primary power source.

Industry 4.0 Applications-AGV Power Supply

AGVs Power-MOVITRANS®, Contactless energy transfer system

MOVITRANS® operates on the principle of inductive energy transfer. MOVITRANS® is a line cabling system routed under the floor that transfers electrical energy from a fixed conductor to one or more mobile consumers without contact.

The electromagnetic connection is made via an air gap and is because friction is absent while the AGV is in motion; it makes the process virtually maintenance-free and wear-free.

Industry 4.0 Applications-AGV's Fleet Management System

Managing your Fleet of AGVs

Full order control built right in.
What order is ready? What needs to be picked up and shuttled across your facility for processing or shipping? Peter explains how our fleet management system coordinates one or multiple AGVs.
